Extra Gold Gilding Wax was added after blending Dixie Belle Aubergine and Mason Dixon Gray chalk paint. I used the Royal Damask stencil to rub in some beautiful faded designs. With my mostly a craft brush gilding wax was applied to key areas of this royal purple vanity desk. I wanted the mirror to fade out as the eye moved up the mirror and it created some extra eye-catching design up there along with the metallic highlights.
